The Paragraph Defined

As mentioned before, a paragraph can be defined as: Introductory; Developmental; Transitional; Concluding. To include your essay as one of the following, it all depends on certain things like format, thesis, length, and progression. What also makes a paragraph a paragraph, are the carefully chosen words that the writer uses, words that reflect one's very own personality. Although any of the four could effectively describe your essay, what truly helps define your paragraph is you.

  1. Hi Roobs: You are right because without these steps our essay would be right at all. Also when we are writing it reflects on our self.

  2. Hi Rob,
Yes, a good paragraph is one that you can clearly express your idea in an organize pattern. I also agree with you that a paragraph must contain carefully chosen words, because if not, we might confuse our readers on what we are trying to say. The words also have to be appropriate for our audience.
