Hi! Dr Rivera and my classmates, I hope everyone had a great long weekend! The Tuesday was the first day for school after the long break. During that class, we taked about the stage two - "Writing the Controlling Idea/Organizing and Developing Support". I took some note from that class, and I wanna share the following information with everyone, but I'm sure you guys also did it already.^_^
Writing the Controlling Idea/Organizing and Developing Support
Defining the Controlling Idea
- Topic sentence / Thesis
- Subject and Treatment
- The treatment is what you intend to do with you subject.
- The effective controlling idea presents a treatment that can be developed with supporting information. The ineffective one is vague, too broad, or too narrow.
