a story stuck in my head
On Tuesday, I was happy to see EN100 classmates and Dr. Rivera. We read 2 short story to separate which paragraph is Pattern A, and pattern B. Basically pattern A is paragraph supporting subject and supporting ideas, pattern B is a paragraph with pattern A plus concluding sentence. One of the example paragraph story was about how people in the old days determine liars by making them chew handful of raw rice or placing burning knife against the tongue because they believed that lying (nervousness) would dry out saliva. I wonder how many innocent victim got killed for this?! What a interesting story. :)

Hi Bella,
ReplyDeleteyes that paragraph dealing with ways on how to deal with liars, is very interesting. But in my opinion, even though it has a scientific basis, it still doesnt present accuracy of the truth.
