Difining Comparison and Contrast

A method of showing similarities and differences between subjects. Comparison is concerned with organizing and developing points of similarity. Contrast serves the same function for differences. In one instance our Professor may ask us to separate the similarities or only the differences. In the other hand she may ask us to separate one from the other. Then ask us to combine them within the larger design of your paragraph or essay.
