On Friday, we listened to many speakers. First we were assigned to the Lecture Hall to listen to Dr.Nancy Updergraff. Her speech was interesting, and very educational. I learned technuiques of how to teach kids comprehension. She was also funny. Then on Saturday, I listened to many speakers dealing with writing such as poems, strategies for critical reading, and using culture to teach comprehension. It was an interesting event. The food was good, and I got to win a prize.
