This week we had two EN100 moodle sessions, whereby we had to post our moodle assignments and reply to other people’s posts. Our topic of Tuesday’s moodle session was Descriptive Narration. Description is the use of words to represent the appearance or nature of something. The narrative is an account of an incident or a series of incidents that make up a complete and significant action. Each narrative has five parts, which is situation, conflict, struggle, outcome, and meaning.

Situation is the background for the action. Conflict is friction, such as a problem in the surrounding, with another person, or within the individual. Struggle is the manner of dealing with conflict. Outcome is the result of the struggle. Meaning is the significance of the story, which may be deeply philosophical or simple, state or implied.

I hope everyone has a good weekend and see you all online next class.

  1. Description is one of the very important content that we should have in all our essays and papers because without it our papers would simply be boring.
