Classification


Hi Dr Rivera and my classmates! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Last Tuesday, we met in class and discussed about the Classification. Following are some notes, I hope they will be helpful.




Classification




Put persons, places, things or ideas into groups or classed based on their characteristics




Follow this procedure for writing paragraph and essays of classification:






  • Select a plural subject.


  • Decide on a principle for grouping the units of your subject.


  • Establish the group, or classes.


  • Write about the classes.


Finally, I want to mention one thing again. Don't forget use all stages of the writing process to make your paragraph or essay better.
